Abuse Testing

Our abuse testing is designed to simulate the physical abuse that our doorsets may be exposed to in a Mental Health environment. Testing each part of the doorset and covering a range of attacks such as body impact and HNB mallet, they ensure that our doorsets can withstand extreme abuse, alerting staff of any disruptive behaviour before any serious damage can be caused.

Strength and Durability

Our doors are put through rigorous testing, including slam shut tests (DD 171), to simulate extreme conditions. This ensures the resilience of the doorstop and the integrity of the frame's connection, guaranteeing long-lasting performance even in demanding environments.

Security Testing

We conduct rigorous physical and cyber security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure the integrity of your systems and assets.

Body impact test (DD 171)

Simulating the repeated impact of a body slamming against the door and testing the damage to the doorstop, frame, hinge and fixings.

Emergency Doorstop Test

This test simulates a user attempting to barricade a door with their body, focusing on the Swiftstop emergency release doorstop's performance under pressure.

En-suite door: Abuse testing

Designed to withstand extreme abuse, the pivots are tested beyond the levels set by current industry guidance.

En-suite: Weaponisation

The soft, lightweight en-suite leaves fold over when held – making them hard to swing and minimising the risk of weaponisation.

Special Doors

We offer custom solutions for your needs. Our doors are designed to be durable and aesthetically pleasing, providing security and style.

Seclusion door: Abuse testing

Built to withstand extreme abuse, our seclusion room door was hit more than 100 times with a paving maul in the same location.

Vision panel attack test

Can a vision panel sustain a continued assault without becoming a risk to the service user? Sureview can.

Fire Testing

Discover Fire Safety Excellence

Our doors offer superior fire protection, achieving ratings of up to FD30 and FD60. This rigorous testing encompasses the entire doorset, including locks, vision panels, hinges, and closers, ensuring comprehensive safety.

Downwards Force Test

This test measures the drop in door height when a significant downward force is applied to the door handle. It assesses potential damage to the door hinges, determining if the door can still effectively contain a fire.

Fire Safety Test Results

Our En-suite door successfully passed BS EN 597 and BS EN 1021 fire tests, demonstrating our commitment to product safety. The door met the equivalent flame standards, ensuring reliable performance.

Anti-Ligature Solutions

En-suite anti-ligature testing

Removing all known ligature points, the leaves of the en-suite door detach under abnormal load (6-8kg) and the pivots are designed to resist ligature attachment.

Anti-ligature handle testing

We use the TS001 specification to independently test all of our handles – and they all pass at the highest levels in their respective categories.
